My name is Jennifer Dinielli and I am the school principal Baywood Elementary School in San Luis Coastal Unified School District. Baywood is a Preschool-5th grade school of 385 students located in the lovely community of Los Osos. I am passionate about working with the students, teachers, staff and families in our community. I believe that by working together, as a strong community, we can best support each individual in being cared for and at recognizing accomplished learning.
Prior to serving as principal at Baywood, I worked as a teacher for 15 years. I have taught all grades K-6 in one setting or another. I have worked as a general education classroom teacher, a special day class teacher, resource specialist and instructional coach. I have also taught at the university level, worked as a camp director, as a youth shelter counselor and as a homeless outreach facilitator. Of all of the places I have worked, Baywood is my favorite! I love the kids, the parents and the community!
On a personal note, I see my work as a self-portrait and am committed to excellence in all of my pursuits. I believe that each individual has the opportunity to enhance our world. I am an eternal optimist and enjoy being on the front end of change and learning. I am actively involved in my local community, through volunteer work and community events.
My husband is a local businessman, my best friend, and a huge source of inspiration and support. We first met when I was in my senior year of high school. Many years later, we were reunited, married and selected the central coast as the place to spend our lives together. We love living here! When we are not busy working, we can be found hiking on the coastal bluffs, relaxing on the beach, reading books and playing with our cat, Mishenka.
