4th & 5th graders please join us for the Bicycle Rodeo @ LOMS on Wed. December 12th from 3:10pm - 5:00pm!
This event is being hosted in collaboration with the Safe Routes to School program, the SLO Bicycle Coalition, and the LOMS chapter of Friday Night Live!
There will be free helmets for each participant, a bicycle to be raffled, and other cool giveaways. There will be the traditional safety course, a fixit station and other information on bicycle riding on the coast.
Family Conferences are here! Nov. 18-22 is family conference week. We are looking forward to having each of you attend. Our goal is to have 100% of Baywood families come to conferences this year! We have 1:00 dismissal all week.
When you are here for conferences, please be sure to do the following:
1. Select a Birthday Book for your child in the library with Mrs. Wright, if you haven't already!
2. Stop by the lost and found. It is overflowing with clothes!
3. Visit our Bookfair!
4. Donate coins to our collection basket to support the Phillipines!
Join me on Thursday, Nov. 7th in the staff room at 8:40 for coffee! We will talk about upcoming family conferences and any topics of interest to you. I am looking forward to seeing you there. Drop in for a few moments or stay and chat.
The District Administration and School Board will be having a community study session to discuss math acceleration in our district. This will take place October 29 @ 6pm at the District Office room J2.
It’s CARNIVAL Time at Baywood Elementary!!! The date is set for Friday, October 11th from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Save the date, grab a vine and swing on down to see our Baywood Bears go BANANAS!!! Can you guess our theme for this year’s carnival? Let’s just say, you’ll go APE over all the FUN we have in store!
And if you haven’t already, be sure and send in your forms to pre-order your wrist bands, and save yourself the time in line. $5 gets you all the fun and games we have to offer. BubbleFun, BBQ and Sweet Shoppe will be offered at an additional cost.

A hands-on workshop filled with fun, wonder, and MATH! Learn about some of the visual models and problem-solving strategies your children are experiencing in classrooms across the district.
Math Consultants, Dr. Barbara Blanke and Mr. Mike Wong have been working with SLCUSD teachers for the past two years developing instructional strategies to improve student learning and mathematical thinking.
Baywood School is proud of the programs we are able to provide to our students through the fundraising efforts of our PTA. It is through parent involvement and support that we are able to offer programs such as assemblies, art classes, fieldtrips and more. Thank you Baywood PTA!
